Day 1: Arusha – Mto wa Mbu

Your cultural adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Drive towards Mto wa Mbu, enjoying views of the Tanzanian countryside and local communities along the way.

Upon arrival, take a guided village walk through local farms, neighborhoods, markets, and artisan workshops. Meet local craftspeople and learn how wood carvings, paintings, woven products, and other handmade items are produced. Enjoy a traditional local lunch before continuing your exploration of the community.

Later, check in at your lodge or guesthouse and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu – Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe Community

After breakfast, continue towards Lake Eyasi, where you will meet members of the Hadzabe community. Learn about their traditional lifestyle, hunting and gathering practices, food, tools, and relationship with the surrounding environment.

Depending on community activities and conditions, you may observe traditional hunting or gathering activities and learn about how knowledge of the local environment is passed between generations. Spend time interacting with community members before enjoying lunch.

Later, continue to your accommodation near Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi – Datoga Community – Mto wa Mbu

A major highlight is a visit to local blacksmiths, where you can observe traditional metalworking and see how tools, jewelry, and household items are produced. Spend time interacting with local artisans before enjoying lunch.

Later, begin the journey back towards Mto wa Mbu. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu – Moshi

Day 5: Moshi – Materuni Village – Coffee Experience

After breakfast, travel to Materuni Village on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Meet your local guide and begin a village and coffee-growing experience. Walk through the coffee farms and learn about traditional cultivation, harvesting, processing, roasting, and preparation methods.

Take part in the traditional coffee preparation process and enjoy a freshly prepared cup with your hosts. Enjoy a local lunch and spend time learning more about village life and the traditions of the Chagga community.

Later, return to Moshi for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Moshi – Kondoa
